Empowering women and girls
CARE Australia’s Enhancing women’s voice to stop sexual harassment (STOP) project is working hard to address sexual harassment in the garment industry all across the Mekong region.
In Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 18-year-old Bopha was subjected to verbal and physical harassment at the factory she works in. But thanks to CARE’s training, Bopha and other women in the factory now know how and who to report harassment and abuse to.

“I learned that there are many forms of sexual harassment,” she says. “It includes touching, talking, and other actions.”
Thanks to support from our donors, CARE Australia is working with factories, government and civil society to ensure women are safe from harassment in the workplace.
